Happy Moon Festival!

Well, we had a long weekend for Moon Festival/Mid-Autumn Festival. It was relaxing and restful. Today we went out into the country to do some sight-seeing. This is a pic of Moonscape World. It's a natural formation, from what I understand, that is very similar to the surface of the moon. It was interesting but as per Taiwan style, wasn't done as well and kept as clean as could be but cool to see anyway.

Birthday Party

So, I have a Taiwanese birthday twin (but he's 3 years older). We had a "party" at his house which was fun. They live on the top floor of a 21 floor bldg with a great view of the city and the harbor, great rooftop balcony.

Well, it's that time again. I've been feeling quite old this week but it's not easy to ignore a birthday. Thanks to those who have sent their wishes. Sadly, it's a gloomy, rainy day but I'll try to make the most of it. A bonus this year is a 4 day weekend - Happy Moon Festival!

I guess it's about time

I've thought about updating several different times but I guess today is your lucky day. Now, where to start?

I've gotten back into life fairly well. Because of all the decorating shows I watched and magazines I read, I had all these ideas of what to do in my house when I got back. Well, the list is long and many things have been done with quite a more to do. For those of you who don't know, I rent my house and provide rooms for short-term use. At school, my afternoon kids were so cute and made me "Missed You" pictures. Also shortly after I got back, I was asked to be director of the school (kind of for the 2nd time). I've accepted with conditions which have been met so far. This means more responsibility but no teaching hours (in the near future). I wasn't scared of the job, I just didn't want to do it and teach. I'll keep you posted on how it's going. I think I will miss teaching a bit but am still around the school so will have a different level of interaction.

Not much happening personally other than feeling good and trying different ways to keep my stress level down. I think that's about it for now. I'll try to take some pics to add soon.
